Egyptian Life

The photos below were taken as we travelled off the "tourist trail" deep in the heart of rural Egypt. They show what life is like for the ordinary Egyptian people. Most tourists who visit this wonderful country don't get to see sights like this - it really is an interesting insight into everyday life.

One of the more amazing things to see from my point of view, was the number of  Egyptian children who were so keen to meet us as foreign visitors to their land. When the kids approached our convoy, they didn't ask for money or food - they asked for pens! They wanted ordinary pens to take to their school and the better the pen, the cooler they were - so we ended up just throwing all our pens out of the windows of our minibus to these Egyptian kids!
