The point at which the top of the ascending passage joins the start of the Grand Gallery. Where you see people crouching down in the centre of this photo, they are going back down the ascending passage, and out of the pyramid. The central channel is a horizontal passageway which leads to the Queens Chamber, and behind us the Grand Gallery opens out.
