We arrived in Athens at about 3:30pm and, after checking into the hotel, we took a stroll in the direction of the Greek National archaeological museum. Jon was particularly keen to see one specific piece - the Antikithera Machine. The great thing about this museum was the incredible diversity of artifacts on display, and even Jon's expensive camera giving up on life didn't spoil the afternoon (Jon just about managed to keep his cool) :-)

After being told when we entered that the Antikithira Machine was on the first floor, and that the first floor was closed for refurbishment, we were surprised to find it as we wondered round the main section of the museum. Click the link below to see more.
