The interior of the 2nd Pyramid is similar to that of the Great Pyramid in some ways, but lacks the
intricacy and unusual features of its illustrious partner. You enter the pyramid via one of two entrances in the North face: the one used in modern times being situated 50 feet (15m) above ground level. From here, a descending
passage slopes downward into the bedrock at an angle of 25.5 degrees, then levels off into a horizontal passage which leads to the main inner chamber. The inner chamber iteslf is carved out of the bedrock, has a gabled ceiling
which supports the entire weight of the pyramid above, and contains a carved granite box which is similar to that inside the Great Pyramid, but is embedded in a raised area of the chamber.
